Looking out for your neighbor

Marta and I almost died!
Marta and I just finished our road trip honeymoon/christmas. Our last leg of the journey saw us through snow covered roads, slushy roads, blizzards, rain, and fog(fog so thick, we could hardly see in front of us!).  At one particular section, the road was covered in snow/slush except for 2 feet by each tire tract. Our on coming traffic started flashing their lights. Our first impression was they were trying to tell us to our high beams were on. Nonetheless, our attention was alerted and we slowed down a bit and then we saw it!  a big black thing in the middle of the road.  A deer had been hit and has laying in the road.  I was able to turn out of the way just in time. Thankful to the drivers that warned us or we most likely would have been in a bad accident.
